E. Douglas
Center Township Trustee of Marion County,

Before being elected
as the Center Township Trustee, William E. Douglas served as the Chief
Executive of Operations for Trustee Carl L. Drummer. After retiring
from IPS, having served for many years as a teacher and top
administrator, Douglas brought his skills and training as an educator
to Center Township. He is a strong advocate for public education.
Douglas is a former
City-County Councilman and has been a Democratic Party worker for many
years. He has been an active community leader in the Martindale/Brightwood
neighborhood where he currently resides and is a precinct
committeeman.
Douglas considers
himself a “servant leader” and enjoys the satisfaction of helping to
make a difference in the lives of those who are less fortunate. He is
a strong believer in treating everyone with dignity and respect and in
helping those we serve become self-sufficient. |
